About Spoink

Spoink. What's the big idea?

"Spoink provides telecommunication, online journals, email and social networking services to individuals and businesses. Their flagship product, Spoink Blog, integrates Podcasting, Blogging and Telephony into a single easy to use interface. This service enables anyone to podcast on any phone from anywhere as well as post audio, video, pictures and text via MMS, email or via a web browser."

Well, first, let's start by saying that Spoink incorporates a bunch of 'killer' applications rolled up into one simple and easy to use package. Maybe you've heard of some of them:

  • VM - Voice Message
  • IM - Instant Message
  • Email - Electronic Mail
  • Web - The thing you are using right now.

But, wait, Spoink is bigger than the sum of its parts. Most people already use one or more of these types of services and may be happy with their current solution. We know this, and we would not suggest that you switch. The fact is that our team uses various IM clients such as Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM, MSN Messenger, Gtalk and Jabber. They also use MySpace, Facebook and Ning and many other social applications. What Spoink does is strive to let you keep using whatever services you are using today while adding a level of integration not previously available.

Spoink has integrated all 4 of these messaging systems into one simple package that lets you choose how you want to communicate at any given moment. You want to use AIM to send messages to your public blog? Great, do it. You want to use your Brothers phone in Seattle to add audio content to your web site? You can do that to. Need a testimonial hotline for your business web site? Yep, we got you covered. Do you need a method of recording conference or sales calls and placing those directly on the web? Sure thing.

Is all this amazing technology free? Yeah, right!

We spend thousands of dollars a month just keeping the technology connected and we spent much more than that developing and testing it. How does this translate to you having to pay to use Spoink? During our BETA release we are giving away trial accounts our Spoink via our "Spoink Blog" service. Everyone who signs up get's a certain number of free VM credits and can post via email, IM and the Web for free.

We are also in the early stages of testing out an Advertisement supported model in which VM messages are sponsored with a short 3 to 5 second audio message preceding your content. Using these non-intrusive advertisements will allow us to provide the service to you for free and of course there will be a way to opt-out of the advertisements by paying for the service.

We here at Spoink hope that the above attempt at explaining our amazing service helped, however, if you need more information please review our HELP section!

Sincerely,
The Spoink Management Team
